Crystal Cove, California

Hi Fairies! It has been a while since my last post. I am home again after four weeks of traveling across the United States and as you can imagine, I took so many photos while traveling that it will take a lot of time to sort and edit the best ones. But today, it is finally time for a new post about California. You know already that the sunshine state is something like my happy place and my favorite photo model. And so was Crystal Cove.
Just a short drive from Newport Beach is the Crystal Cove State Park. We had read about the historic cottages and the tide pools and so we decided to visit the park. Unfortunately the late morning was not the right time to explore the tide pools because the ocean was almost all over them. But they were still beautiful as well as the historic cottages on the beach. We grabbed a coffee and went exploring the beach. If you want to spend more time in the Crystal Cove State Park, it will be also possible to hike and bike in the backcountry or to watch some wildlife. We stayed half of the day and ended our visit with a delicious lunch at “The Beachcomber” with is located directly on the beach.

Crystal Cove is a relaxed place. Nobody is in a hurry and the beach is kind of special because of the cottages, the tide pools and the cliffs. What do you think? Have you ever been there?
