La Jolla is a mix of bohemian and hippie style architecture and a picturesque coastline. The town is popular for awesome restaurants and shops as well as perfect areas for surfing and diving. But the main reason we decided to visit the place was the sea lions. A nice man in our San Diego hotel told us about them and we arrived in La Jolla after a short drive from downtown San Diego just the other day.
“La Jolla” is the spanish word for “jewel” and this fits very well. As you can see on my photographs we spent a perfect day in La Jolla. The water was so blue, the sky too and and the palm trees and SoCal style all around us was beautiful.

We parked the car and took a short walk on the coast. The cute sea lions were lying on cliffs and swimming in the sea. I have never come so close to sea lions until then and that was pretty cool.
